120x50x1200 Blank Forks

120x50x1200 Blank Forks weigh 78kg each. The cross-section is 120 mm wide, 50 mm thick, and the total length is 1.2 meters. This blank fork is specially designed for the modification of heavy-duty casting spreaders and mining machinery. It is made of open-hearth killed steel ingots and is free-forged into shape through three fires. The surface retains post-forging scale and hammer marks without any straightening treatment. A bending amount of 1 mm per meter is allowed. Each 78-kg billet is made of ZG35CrMo. After normalizing and tempering, the hardness is between 200 and 230HBW. It is easy to flame cut and has good weldability. The fork tip maintains the original square head, and the chamfering size of the four corners is uneven, with a maximum error of up to 5 mm, fully reflecting the characteristics of free forging. There is a layer of black skin about 2 mm thick on each of the upper and lower planes of the fork surface.

 

 

The user can partially grind to expose the metal base as needed. In order to facilitate on-site processing, two longitudinal reference lines were manually marked on the fork surface with white high-temperature paint, with a distance of 100 mm, and horizontal scales were drawn every 100 mm to form a simple grid. The surface is only coated with a thin layer of ordinary engine oil to prevent rust and does not need to be removed before welding or cutting. Each fork is installed independently and bare, with scrap tire pieces padded at the bottom to prevent slipping. The weight of a single unit of 78 kg is suitable for two people to use a steel drill to penetrate the irregular hammer pit on the back of the fork and lift it directly. It is commonly used in small and medium-sized mechanical maintenance shops, mine rescue teams and self-made spreader stations in foundry workshops.
